Ulyanovsk Enterprise AVTOKONTAKT LLC started its production activity from the 1^st of October 1947. The enterprise was in the 2-storied building and wooden constructions in Robespyera lane. At this stage the enterprise was producing brushes made of bass fibers and felt snow boots.

From 1960 the enterprise began cooperative relations with Ulyanovsk vehicle manufacturing plant, mastering of low-end stamped parts and assembling of small units engaged in the configuration of vehicles from UAZ series. IN due course time, these relations expanded. From 1964 Ulyanovsk Enterprise AVTOKONTAKT LLC began assembling all types of seats for UAZ vehicles. For the time being, the most part of products is supplied to UAZ vehicle manufacturing plant.

In 1964 the machine-assembling site, other production sites and the administrative building in 90, Gaya avenue were built. In 1976 production sites in 9, Robespyera lane were built. Total area of production buildings in both addresses is 14,5 thousand sq. m. Simultaneously with constructing of new production sites, technical retooling was carried out, new technologies and equipment were implemented.

The enterprise carried out co-operated deliveries of products to many enterprises such as "Iskra", "Kontaktor", factory n.a. "Volodarsky", "Electromash", etc.
